- The FastStart agreement is a lifetime agreement but it can be terminated by the client or Semex at any time as stated in the FastStart agreement.
- As a FastStart client, you’re eligible to purchase semen from any FastStart sire when available.
- Semex plans to release 8 to 12 new FastStart Holstein sires and 2 to 3 new FastStart Jersey sires each year as listed on www.semex.com/faststart.
- If the offspring from a FastStart sire is genomic tested, the client must notify Semex with the genomic result within an established period of time as stated in the FastStart agreement.
- Semex retains the right of first option to purchase selected sons from a FastStart sire that are born prior to the ending birth date as set on each FastStart sire at www.semex.com/faststart.
- Semex retains the right of first option to purchase or to gain access to 50% of the matings on selected daughters from a FastStart sire that are born prior to the ending birth date as set on each FastStart sire at www.semex.com/faststart.
- Semex will notify the client within a set period of time following the genomic result with its’ decision to purchase/access offspring of a FastStart sire or to release the offspring from this right of first option condition.
- The client can select which option, to sell to Semex or to grant access to Semex on 50% of matings, for any daughters with the right of first option selected by Semex.
- If the purchase option is invoked, then the price to be paid is set according to the TPI or NM$ ranking as detailed in the FastStart agreement.
- In the event that Semex declines the right of first option on an offspring, the client is free to do whatever they wish with the offspring.
